    THE VILLAGE

    Pagondas, once a small town of 3000, now houses about 400 villagers. It is located on an exceptionally fertile hillside 250 metres above sea level. The distances are 12 km to the main harbour of Pythagorio, 9 km to the international airport, 5 to 8 km to a series of wonderful beaches. The village is celebrated for the loveliest village square in an island known for its lovely village squares. The Imbrasos stream, which flows through the village territory, was named by Herodotus – 2450 years ago – as the birthplace of the goddess Hera.
