General Features

The villa in the historical Akaretler Row Houses, which is the first monumental rowhouses group of the Ottoman, which also gave its name to the district, is located on Suleyman Seba Street, which is in the center of the triangle of Nisantasi, Macka and Besiktas coast.

There are six high ceilinged separate sections in 550 square meters with on the front and rear sides of the staircase, which located in the middle of the villa and adjacent to the other next to it. Volumes, customized with glass panes and aluminum joinery, brought a modern touch to this historic villa. The balcony on the second floor of the triplex villa hosts a view of Akaretler Square, while the backyard garden offers an escape point in the city center.

Neoclassical style building, whose architect is Sarkis Balyan, completed in 1875, was built by Sultan Abdulaziz as a lodge in order to host the leading lords of Dolmabahce Palace.

The project, which restoration was completed in 2009 and was awarded with the Urban Land Institute award, is also the second largest restoration project in Europe. Akaretler Row Houses has become one of the main vessels of art in Istanbul with new venues, galleries and exhibitions.
